Friendship Skills Small Group

Friendship Group:

     Our school runs two sets of small groups, one from October through December, and another from January through March.
     The first semester groups are typically Friendship, Anxiety, and Divorce/Separation Group, while the second semester groups vary with need.  We have done Anger Management Group, Sibling Group, Grief Group, and a Girl Self-Esteem Group.  The school psychologist and I are the group facilitators.
     Parent Permission is needed for a student to become a member of any group.  All groups are open and include 6-8 sessions.

Prior to the start of group, another letter is sent home to all families who had their child/children join a group.  This letter informs the parents/guardians

Throughout the group's run, I collect and save every student project.  When the group is complete, each student is given a packet that includes all of their work, a letter to their parents, and a Certificate of Completion!
